Employees feel engaged at work when their talents are utilized and they have opportunities to grow and develop. We each have unique strengths and by tapping into and leveraging those competencies, we can increase our engagement at work. We must, however, be able to communicate effectively to achieve these results.

In this session with Sherrie Haynie, participants will learn how our minds are wired with certain preferences that influence our motivations and interests, as well as our biases and frustrations. Our preferences also greatly impact how we communicate, which is a significant component of the manager and employee relationship. By learning to tailor how we communicate, managers can improve their ability to coach and provide feedback and employees can maximize opportunities to leverage their strengths. This webinar will expand on these concepts and provide concrete examples of manager and employee actions for increasing engagement.

Participants will:

  • Gain insight into how our minds are wired to perceive and communicate information
  • Learn how employees can improve communication skills with their colleagues
  • Discover how managers adapt their style for employees based on each team member’s unique needs
  • Learn about the connection between tailored communication and the impact on employee engagement
  • Understand how the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® assessment, facilitated through talent management technology, can give you the insights needed to foster better self-awareness, communication, teamwork, and ultimately, performance.
