Southern Atlantic Hospital Alliance Members Select Halogen Software in Support of Health Care Excellence

Healthcare alliance selects Halogen Software as preferred talent management vendor to support members in achieving strategic health care goals

Southern Atlantic Hospital Alliance (SAHA) — an alliance of member hospitals in North Carolina and Virginia — has selected Halogen Software as its talent management vendor of choice. Under this agreement SAHA members can license the award-winning Halogen Talent Management Suite™ and access educational resources and tools on healthcare talent management best practices.

According to The Health Research & Educational Trust (HRET), workforce practices may represent an important and underutilized resource for supporting quality improvements in healthcare organizations.1 SAHA works collaboratively with its members to provide education, information sharing and cost saving initiatives focused on patient safety, clinical quality and regulatory compliance.

“SAHA’s collaborative culture extends beyond patient care to include how we manage our hospitals and how we develop and retain top talent,” said Bill Bedsole, CEO, Southern Atlantic Healthcare Alliance. “Through this agreement with talent management leader Halogen, our member hospitals can standardize their talent programs and processes. Leveraging the Halogen solution is just one of the many ways our member hospitals are working together to achieve health care excellence.”

SAHA members like Cone Health, High Point Regional Health System, and Wilson Medical Center are already using the Halogen Talent Management Suite for Healthcare, and Halifax Regional Medical Center and Nash Health Care Systems are the newest SAHA members to select Halogen.

“We’re new to Halogen and chose the solution because it is so highly recommended by fellow SAHA members,” said Jim Wood, VP/Administration & CHRO, Halifax Regional Medical Center. “Our mission is ‘patients first’. Halogen provides a streamlined and easy-to-navigate talent management system so that our employees can focus their talents on supporting our mission and delivering the best health care to every patient, every hour, every day.”

Together SAHA alliance hospitals have more than 35,000 employees and more than 5,000 beds. Through this agreement SAHA members can license Halogen’s award-winning talent management suite and best-practice information and tools to improve their talent management practices, and continue to develop and retain a high performing workforce.

The award-winning Halogen Talent Management Suite for Healthcare is designed to help healthcare facilities build high performing teams with the right skills, knowledge and competencies to deliver quality patient care. The Halogen eAppraisal™ Healthcare module is designed to meet the specific talent management needs of health care providers, and has earned the exclusive endorsement of the American Hospital Association for employee performance management.
