Halogen Software Honoured as Employer of Choice for Third Consecutive Year

Talent Management Leader Recognized in Annual Ranking of the 2011 Top 50 Small and Medium Employers in Canada

Halogen Software announced today that it has been named one of the Top 50 Best Small and Medium Employers in Canada for the third consecutive year. This national awards program, sponsored by Queen’s School of Business and Hewitt Associates, recognizes top employers with 50 to 400 employees. Halogen’s results demonstrated very high engagement scores in the areas of ethics and integrity, strong leadership and social and environmental responsibility in particular. Also of note was that Halogen was the only Ottawa based organization to be named to the list for three years running.

Selected from a pool of hundreds of small and medium sized companies across Canada, Halogen’s inclusion in this exclusive ranking is a continued testament to its strong employee focused corporate culture, which is entrenched in the company’s mission, vision and values.

“We are very proud to have earned this distinction for the third year in a row, and to work with a creative, dedicated team – each of whom has helped Halogen achieve this honour,” said Paul Loucks, President and CEO of Halogen. “Halogen is known as a place where employees work hard, have fun, and are committed to our customers and our community. We aim to keep the bar high and use these survey results to identify areas for improvement each year, so that we not only have a more engaged workforce but also a better business.”

As a leading talent management vendor, the organization also uses its own solutions internally to support its employee engagement efforts and drive high performance. Halogen’s corporate objectives are supported by its employees, each of whom understands how their personal goals support the company’s top level goals, and can see a direct line of sight to better business results. This alignment has led to recognition for the company as a leader in its industry, for world-class HR software and delivering a brilliant customer experience.

The rankings are primarily determined using the results from Employee Opinion Surveys where 21 key engagement drivers are detailed and analyzed. The evaluation process also includes the assessment of organization practices and perspectives from the leadership team.

Study partners include Queen's School of Business, Queen’s Centre for Business Venturing and Hewitt Associates.
