Ongoing performance and development conversations enable execution of AGIA’s talent management strategy
Ottawa — June 22, 2016 – AGIA Affinity Services is using talent management solutions from Halogen Software (TSX: HGN) to put ongoing performance conversations at the center of the company’s talent strategy, enabling a culture of continuous feedback, coaching, and development.
Prior to using Halogen, AGIA conducted an annual review process – which focused more on annual ratings and past performance – and less on ongoing employee engagement and development. AGIA’s HR and leadership teams recognized that they needed to align their talent strategy to their business objectives more clearly, so that their employees would feel more connected and engaged in their work, and achieve the outcomes that AGIA needed to drive its business forward.
To do this, AGIA needed to adopt a new approach to employee performance and development that focused on ongoing performance management and coaching. It was also clear that the company would need to leverage a cloud-based solution to help achieve its talent management vision more quickly.
“By using Halogen’s TalentSpace™ solutions, organizational development is now embedded within AGIA’s culture,” says Mei-Ling Fry, AGIA’s Assistant Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development. “Our talent management strategy is focused on building stronger leader-associate relationships by supporting associates in achieving goals that align with corporate objectives, creating development plans tied to competency gaps or career aspirations, and recognizing and rewarding high performance. As a result, we have better goal alignment and accountability to achieve success in key areas of our business.”
Halogen’s Continuous Advancement™ services, AGIA is getting even more out of
its employee performance and learning and development strategy.
“We’re able to make smart decisions about our talent and our business because we have data about our talent. This allows us to understand today’s needs and anticipate future possibilities, such as succession planning and learning and development opportunities,” says Fry. “We are working in lock step with Halogen on new and innovative ways to advance our performance and talent strategy, enabled by the TalentSpace solution.”
