The self assessment evaluation will comprise a series of questions relating to how the staff member feels he/she performed during a set time period.
The questions will differ depending on the job function but may include areas such as:
- goal completion
- coworker relations,
- willingness to learn new skills / take on new challenges,
- problem-solving abilities,
- work attendance record,
- leadership abilities, and more.
Often the self-evaluation form will display a multiple choice rating scale after each question to express the level of success the employee feels he/she has attained -- for example "below expectations", "meets expectations" and "exceeds expectations".
