You can choose from one of three ways to move employee data and relationships from your HRIS or payroll system into the Halogen solution: flat text file, web services and database-to-database.
Importing Text Files
Halogen provides you with simple to use interfaces that walk you through the process of importing forms, data on competencies, project information, and lists of users and multirater evaluators from prepared text files. These speed up process administration as well as allow you to include customized information and keep it up to date.
Web Services for HRIS integration
With Halogen's web services, you can create your own interface from your HRIS to Halogen's employee performance and talent management suite. They include all methods required to insert, update, delete and retrieve user information from Halogen's suite database.
Halogen HRIS Connect™
This optional Halogen utility completely automates the transfer of employee information from your HRIS into Halogen's User Center, eliminating the need to perform manual export and import tasks.
This straightforward utility runs as a Windows Service. Once configured, it runs unattended, on a schedule. As part of the configuration, you determine how often and at what time the data transfer will occur. Halogen HRIS Connect can be configured to run as often as every day, or as infrequently as once per week.
