Software as a Service (SaaS) is defined as a software solution that is hosted and supported by a vendor as a service. Users access the service via the Internet, without the need to deploy and maintain an on-premise IT infrastructure. With SaaS you rent the software – you do not own it. With SaaS licensing you get all the benefits of using our fully featured Employee Performance and Talent Management suite without any of the IT overhead normally associated with deploying and maintaining this type of enterprise class software.

SaaS is sometimes associated with a 'pay-as-you-go' subscription pricing, but it really only refers to the hosted deployment model. Vendor hosted environments can offer both annual /monthly subscription licensing, or perpetual licensing models. However subscription-licensing models are not generally available for on premise deployments.
