Learn a 4-step model for discussing problem performance in a way that both gets results and maintains the respect.
Summary:
In every organization there are two aspects of a performance management system – the formal and the informal. The formal process usually includes year-end or mid-year performance review documents that summarize performance. Too often the report on performance comes to the employee as a shock and does not align with their expectations. In addition, it is not designed to change performance, and relying on it to do so is usually a prescription for failure.
This session will give participants a 4-step model for discussing problem performance in a way that both gets results and maintains the respect of the direct report on a day-to-day basis. Participants in this session will be provided a complimentary copy of the slides and workbook to deliver to managers in their own organizations.
