Conference location and dates

The 2012 Halogen User Conference will take place at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

The conference runs from September 9 to 11, 2012.

  • Pre-conference training takes place on Sunday, September 9.
  • The pre-conference Halogen User Group meeting takes place on Sunday, September 9.
  • The conference welcome reception and registration are on Sunday, September 9, 7:00pm to 9:00pm, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort.
  • The main conference sessions kick off on Monday, September 10 at 8:30am and conclude on Tuesday, September 11, with the final session ending at 3:45pm
  • Post-conference training and Jamie Resker’s boot camp, Mastering the Art of Performance Feedback , are on Wednesday, September 12, 2012.
 

Please note that pre- and post-conference training and workshops are offered for additional fees to the main conference.

Average high and low temperatures in Nashville during September are 82°F (high) and 61°F (low).

Conference attendees will fly into Nashville International Airport (BNA), which is approximately nine miles from the Gaylord Opryland Resort.

There are several options for ground transportation between Nashville International Airport and the Gaylord Opryland Resort including hotel shuttle service, taxi and limousine services. Please view the Hotel and Travel page for detailed information on these options.

Yes, there are discounted room rates for the conference attendees at the Gaylord Opryland Resort. You may book online or by calling the hotel directly at: +1-888-777-OPRY (6779) in the continental U.S. and Canada or +1-615-889-1000. To ensure that you receive the discounted rate, please tell the reservation agent that you are with the Halogen User Conference.

Based on hotel room availability, discounted room rates will be available until August 15, 2012.

If you have booked your room using the conference discount, the cancellation policy is no less than 72 hours prior to arrival. Failure to do so will result in a penalty equal to one night’s room and tax.

Miscellaneous

The fee includes the Sunday evening welcome reception, all sessions on Monday and Tuesday at the Gaylord Opryland Resort as well as breakfast, lunch and breaks on Monday and Tuesday. The fee also includes an opportunity to register for the Halogen User Group meeting on Sunday afternoon, and the Customer Appreciation Night on Monday evening. Spouses or guests may attend the Customer Appreciation Night for an additional fee.

Fees for pre- and post-conference training sessions, and Jamie Resker’s Boot Camp, Mastering the Art of Performance Feedback, are in addition to the main conference fee. You can sign up and pay for these sessions as part of the conference online registration process.

There is a section on the conference registration form for special requests. Please complete this section when registering or email Joan MacKinnon with your request at jmackinnon@halogensoftware.com.

Business casual attire is appropriate for all conference functions. Meeting room temperatures are cool and the Nashville climate can vary greatly. We suggest you wear layered clothing for comfort.

Conference sessions are for user conference attendees only. Spouses and guests are permitted to attend the welcome reception and customer appreciation night only, and guest passes will be available for purchase on the registration page of the user conference. The conference is an adult-only function.
