Network Solutions Chooses Halogen eAppraisal

Domain name giant selects, tests, and deploys employee performance management software - at Web speed

OTTAWA, February 28, 2005 - Halogen Software Inc., a leading provider of Web-based employee performance management (EPM) software, has been chosen to automate the employee review process for Network Solutions, the pioneer of domain name registration and leading provider of Internet-related services. Herndon, Virginia-based Network Solutions selected Halogen eAppraisal™ to automate performance evaluations for more than 500 employees in multiple locations.

Halogen's eAppraisal software beat out offerings from its major competitors for the Network Solutions deal. Purchase, installation, testing, and training were completed at Web speed: Network Solutions used eAppraisal to complete company-wide staff evaluations less than a month after it purchased the software, a testament to eAppraisal's ease of implementation.

Network Solutions provides Internet-related services, including Web site hosting, Web site design, online marketing, e-mail and domain registration services. Nonie Strike, ERP Business Analyst at Network Solutions, said a regular, streamlined evaluation process for all of its employees is a strategic priority for the company. "Performance reviews are an important part of the culture at Network Solutions. Our responsibility to our employees includes giving them the critical feedback they need to develop. We needed a tool to make this process as easy as possible," said Ms. Strike. The fast implementation meant that Network Solutions could automate its company-wide evaluation process without delaying its regular year-end appraisal cycle. "The new system had to be technically stable right away. Halogen's product performed really well," Ms. Strike said.
