OTTAWA, August 31, 2001 - Halogen Software Inc. today announced the release of Halogen eSurveyor 3.1 Domino, the latest version of their flagship e-survey solution. Widely regarded as the industry pioneer in online surveys, eSurveyor Domino now boasts several additional features and enhancements.
Halogen eSurveyor Domino 3.1 is a sophisticated yet easy-to-use web-based survey solution that delivers powerful research capabilities in a secure and configurable format. It makes online surveying simple, interactive, fast, and cost-effective. Since 1997, eSurveyor (formerly mantaINSIGHT) has been used to measure consumer behavior, explore corporate values, and research employee satisfaction.
Foremost among the new features is support for MS-IIS. This allows Domino to run with IIS as the HTTP service rather than the Domino default, dramatically improving performance under heavy traffic. Enhancements include better SPSS support thanks to a sophisticated analysis tool for exporting data that further streamlines the process of extracting meaningful data for advanced analysis. Another enhancement is the option to eliminate HTML frames. Before this improvement, respondents could easily miss questions because the button that allowed them to continue was visible while questions below the frame were not. However, with eSurveyor Domino 3.1, respondents do not see the continue button until they scroll through an entire page.
A better range of special characters also deserves mention as an important enhancement as does the addition of matrix questions. Matrix questions allow people to rate their responses to questions - from strongly disagree to strongly agree, for example. This makes questions much easier and more appealing to answer, improving overall response rate. It also yields more granular data, increasing overall accuracy.
These latest additions and enhancements to the company's traditional e-survey solution come on the heels of other improvements, such as advanced reporting capabilities.
"With a wide range of features based on solid customer feedback, version 3.1 will undoubtedly be well received by companies that care about quality research but don't want to invest the time and expense in developing their own survey software," says Paul Loucks, President of Halogen. "We already have a number of clients who are waiting for this release."
If their existing client list, which includes the likes of Whirlpool and Hewlett-Packard, is any indication, Halogen eSurveyor Domino 3.1 has a very bright future.
