Michael Slaunwhite

Executive Chairman

Mike co-founded Halogen Software in 1996, becoming President and CEO, and later Executive Chairman. Under his team's leadership, Halogen evolved from a small division within Manta Corporation, a consulting firm, into an independent company and leading provider of web-based employee performance and talent management software.

Prior to joining Halogen, Mike was a key member of the executive team at Corel Corporation, holding the position of chief financial officer and corporate secretary. In 1989, he orchestrated Corel's initial public offering, and in 1992 led the company's secondary offering with Morgan Stanley and its concurrent NASDAQ listing.

Mike has a Bachelor of Commerce, Honours, with majors in accounting, finance & computer science from Carleton University. Dean's List scholarship.

Les Rechan

President & CEO

Leslie (Les) Rechan, appointed Halogen's President & CEO in November 2015, oversees the company's strategic direction and growth as a talent management leader for the mid-enterprise. The former General Manager of the IBM Business Analytics Division within IBM Software Group, Les has more than 30 years in the enterprise technology solutions industry.

Les brings tremendous experience to Halogen, having led fast-growth B2B software companies for decades. Previously, Les was the Chief Operating Officer of Cognos and held a variety of global executive roles with Oracle, Siebel Systems, Cadence Designs Systems, Onyx Software and IBM. Les also serves on the Board of Directors for Cognitive Scale, the Cognitive Cloud Company and PROS Holdings, Inc. a publicly traded software and services company.

Les holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Behavior and Management from Brown University, and a Masters in Management from Northwestern University's Kellogg Business School.

Rob Ashe

Rob is the former CEO of Cognos and General Manager of Business Analytics for IBM. Serving as CEO and on the board of Cognos Inc, he helped grow the company into a $1Billion-plus business intelligence (BI) software giant, with a reputation for customer excellence and being an employer of choice.

Following the acquisition of Cognos by IBM in 2008, Ashe led IBM's growing Business Analytics division as General Manager, where he served until March of 2012. In his near 30 year tenure at Cognos, which grew to be one of the largest BI software companies in the world, Ashe held several leadership positions across key departments including CFO, Senior Vice President of R&D, Senior Vice President of Services and Support, Chief Corporate Officer and President and COO.

Deborah Besemer

Deborah Besemer is a software industry executive. She was the President and CEO of BrassRing for 7+ years, a leading SAAS provider of talent management solutions for global companies.

Prior to joining BrassRing, Deborah spent more than a decade at Lotus Development and subsequently IBM, where she held the position of Executive Vice-President, Worldwide Field Operations. She is currently serving on the board of directors at Brightcove, Inc. She has served on the Board of Directors at six other software companies, both public and private.

Deborah has taken an active role in non-profits that serve women in business, disaster victims, and the technology industry. She is on the Boards of The Commonwealth Institute, Johns Hopkins Center for Refugee and Disaster Relief and Cedar Crest College.

Harry co-founded JMI Equity, a growth equity firm focused on investing in software, internet, business services and healthcare IT companies, in 1992. He is currently a director of Autotask, Capsule Tech, Catapult Learning, Courion, Halogen Software, Navicure, PointClickCare and Studer Group, and a former director of Appriss and Hyperion Software Corporation.

Harry's investment experience includes Corliant, CyberTech Systems and Software, Financial Alliance, Intellitactics, Jackson Hewitt Tax Service, META Group, Optika Imaging Systems, PROS Revenue Management (NYSE: PRO), Transaction Systems Architects and Transcentive. Prior to co-founding JMI in 1992, Harry was a principal in the Technology Group at Alex. Brown. Prior to joining Alex. Brown, he worked in marketing at Sigma Design, Inc. and in investment banking in the Technology Group of Blyth Eastman PaineWebber, Inc.

Harry received a BA in History from Yale University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Peter has more than 40 years of accumulated business experience with companies in all stages of growth. He is an international business consultant helping organizations expand into global markets and successfully navigate the complexities of the international marketplace.

Prior to starting his consultancy in 1995, Peter was a visiting professor of marketing for the MBA programs at Wake Forest University and Duke University, both based in North Carolina. Before that, Peter was the senior vice president for NorthWest Airlines. From 1972 to 1988 he served in various senior leadership roles with RJR Tobacco International, including president and CEO of RJR MacDonald Canada, before becoming the executive vice president of RJR Tobacco Company USA in 1988.

Prior to joining RJR Tobacco Company, Peter was the international research director for Wm Shlackman Ltd, a London-based international market research group. He also served as a research psychologist for Unilever in the UK.

Timothy Williams

Audit Committee Chairman

Timothy is the chair of Halogen Software's audit committee. Tim is the former Chief Financial Officer of Blackbaud Inc., a leading global provider of software and services for nonprofits, where he served for 11 years.

Before joining Blackbaud, Tim was the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Mynd, Inc. (now a subsidiary of Computer Sciences Corporation), a provider of software and services to the insurance industry. Prior to Mynd, Inc., he was the executive vice president and chief financial officer for Holiday Inn Worldwide and prior to that he worked for Price Waterhouse & Co.

Tim also serves on the board of directors of PROS Holdings, Inc. a publicly traded software and services company, and two other private software firms.
