When it comes to talent management, goals can make or break an organization. Goals have the potential to be strategic tools to gain the maximum output from the collective contributions of all individuals in an organization - if they are properly managed. Goals direct the use of time, attention, effort and resources and ensure everyone in the boat is rowing in the same direction.

It’s no secret that when individuals understand how their efforts connect to others and the overall goals of the organization, they feel more valued and appreciated. This can have a significant impact on improving employee engagement, which reinforces both HR and business goals.
