The countdown is on! In less than four weeks, hundreds of Halogen customers will join us in Scottsdale, AZ for the TalentSpace Live Conference (#TSLive17). From May 1-4 at the beautiful Hyatt Gainey Ranch, the best and brightest HR pros, thought leaders and Halogen experts will come together for a true learnathon.
With dozens of sessions, the agenda covers everything from how to execute the latest strategic talent management best practices to how you can use the Halogen TalentSpace™ solution to support those initiatives.
On top of our amazing keynote, we have a great lineup of speakers coming to the conference this year.
Be it resolved: Talent management is the soap opera that never gets cancelled
We're bringing along a special import from Canada for #TSLive17. Comedian, radio and TV host, Steve Patterson is “one funny fellow” whose sharp wit will supercharge the fun factor as our emcee.
And Patterson’s experience hosting the CBC program The Debaters will serve him well at the conference. We’ve invited him to moderate what will most certainly be a heated debate between HR thought leaders Kris Dunn and Tim Sackett.
Kris and Tim will tell it like it is with off-the-cuff and not-so-meticulously crafted perspectives on all things HR. You’ll leave with all the answers. Or maybe just some of them. You’ll at least leave with a good chuckle and some food for thought.
Gain knowledge from the best and brightest HR pros
You’ll have the opportunity to expand your own professional and leadership development (and gain CEU credits!) by attending sessions across three tracks:
- Design Your Strategy,
- Build Your Action Plan,
- Get Stuff Done.
Visit the TalentSpace™ Lab to get one-on-one help from a Halogen expert who will answer your questions about putting some of what you’ve learned at the conference into practice.
We’ve also invited HR and business thought leaders Sharlyn Lauby, David Wentworth, Kris Dunn, Tim Sackett, and Chris Canciolosi to lead sessions on key HR priorities including:
- Aligning talent strategy with business strategy,
- Measuring the impact of learning and development programs,
- Turning managers into coaches, and
- Leading organizations through change.
In this video, Sharlyn provides an overview of what you’ll learn in her strategy session, “Line it up, baby! Connecting your talent strategy to the business.”
Get inspired by our customers’ success
We’re excited to have a few of our brilliant customers contributing to the conference agenda! You’ll learn from all the great work they’re doing and see how you can achieve similar outcomes.
Here’s an overview of some of the “peer inspiration” lined up this year:
Customer success stories that “SHINE”
Don’t you love awards? We do. And giving them to our customers is one of our favorite parts of TalentSpace Live. On day one, the accomplishments of four Halogen customers will be highlighted during the SHINE (Shaping HR Innovation & Excellence) Awards presentation.
These awards recognize Halogen customers for their achievements in the following categories:
- Master of People Development award – creating high-impact learning and development programs
- HR Star Innovator award – using the Halogen TalentSpace™ solution in creative ways to execute its talent strategy
- Gifted Culture Builder award – success in developing a culture of feedback
- Business Impact Honors award – creating a talent strategy with measurable impact on organizational success
Take the right next step: Customers turning strategy into reality
On day two, Halogen customers Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, Panopto, Brundage Management and the City of Henderson (NV) will participate in a main stage “fireside chat” on key trends impacting HR and organizations today. They’ll also share how they’ve moved their talent strategy forward and overcome some of the most common obstacles facing HR pros today.
“But first, let’s do a selfie!” breakout session
Janice Love, Corporate Director of Learning and Development for Swope Health Services will lead a breakout session on how her organization uses Halogen to increase employee engagement and accountability in the performance management process through the strategic use of “selfies” (self-appraisals).
Here’s what Janice has to say about her session:
“Employees fear evaluations because they don’t feel like they have a voice or an opportunity to provide feedback regarding their performance. The strategic use of self-appraisals has shifted our employees’ thinking about the appraisal process. I’ll be sharing how other organizations can adopt a similar approach to help their employees feel accepted, fulfilled, and connected at work.”
Greatness starts with bringing out the best in people. Let's learn how together.
Your people are important and we want to help you help them be their best. Whether you’re a new Halogen customer, a long-time customer or somewhere in between, #TSLive17 is the ideal learning and development event for you.
You’ll leave with strategic knowledge and practical tools you can put in practice right away.
We can’t wait to see you in Scottsdale!
