Everybody here is ramping up to our Third Annual User Conference, to be held next week. It’s been a busy time preparing and we’re very much looking forward to connecting with our user community and sharing stories, best practices, and some laughs.

Speaking of laughs, we’ve got a great keynote speaker this year. Michael Kerr, award-winning international speaker and founder of the Humor at Work Institute, will be delivering a presentation on how humor can deliver a healthier and more productive work place. Something we can all learn from!

On the more serious side, Ian Cullwick, National Human Capital Practice Leader with Deloitte will address critical workforce trends and their impact on talent management. This should be a very interesting discussion as we all have concerns about the retiring workforce, managing generational differences in the office, and the ongoing battle in healthcare to attract and retain qualified specialists.

The main conference, September 15-16, offers two information packed days where attendees will have a unique opportunity to learn how to develop and deliver key HR initiatives by leveraging the features available in our integrated employee performance and talent management suite. This year’s conference will also feature discussions about best practices for performance reviews, goal management, pay for performance, succession planning, learning management with presentations from a diverse range of organizations including Carnegie Mellon University, MSNBC, Sanford Health and The San Diego Zoo.

We’ve got hundreds of HR practitioners coming to join us next week. So I’d better get back to work, helping organize everything!
