Halogen User Conference 2009 – Be Strategic, Be Brilliant, Be There!

We’re so pleased… We’ve recently announced our 4th Annual Halogen User Conference, scheduled for September 14-15 in Ottawa, and it’s going to be better than ever. Today’s HR leaders face unprecedented challenges and real opportunities when it comes to managing talent, and preparing their organizations for future success. And that’s what we’re focusing on this year. Our agenda includes an extra breakout track, pre-and post conference training and more opportunities to learn than ever. Each of the sessions in our expanded agenda is designed to help HR maximize investments in talent management solutions, and provide new strategies for expanding your company’s use of key applications. We’ll have ideas to help with performance management, compensation planning, learning management and succession.

Also big news on the conference front is the great keynote speakers we’ve lined up. Richard Hadden co-author of the Contented Cows Leadership books will kick things off with a very timely session entitled, Your People… Your Profit: Maximizing the Return on Human Capital in Turbulent Times.

And the very popular Kris Dunn, of The HR Capitalist and Fistful of Talent blogs will be joining us to share social media lessons for HR, and provide guidance on how to get involved or grow your involvement with social media to assist in recruiting, knowledge sharing, and professional development. Whether you like it or not, in the not-so-distant-future, every HR pro is going to have to know how to use social media tools, or be viewed as a dinosaur.
