HR’s Favorite Things

This year’s edition of the survey (the 5th annual!) gave HR pros an opportunity to have their say on their favorite things, with a gift giving spin. More than 200 HR professionals from North America weighed in with their responses from December 2nd to 14th via an online survey.

Halogen’s Total Satisfaction Commitment

Bersin & Associates released a new study on customer satisfaction with talent management systems today, and I am thrilled to share that Halogen was the only vendor in the study to achieve special recognition for its total customer satisfaction. While, as an organization, we are totally committed to customer satisfaction, being recognized by a group like Bersin for this guiding principle as a differentiator is an honor.

At first I was surprised to see the very first question in our new HR Raging Debates Forum. “Should you even do performance appraisals” seems like a slam dunk to me, and likely to most of you reading.

Succession planning is one of those things that is still problematic for a lot of companies. Many organizations still get confused between replacement planning and succession planning. Others only consider the need to replace c-level executives rather than all critical roles/skills in the organization. And for many, it seems like a daunting task, so they put it off.
