As the lazy hazy days of August are here, I’d like to give a shout out to some great summer reading from the business realm. The book’s not new, but it’s worth a glance as the software industry is starting to see shades of another (overblown?) bubble — reminiscent of the late 1990′s.

A recent study from Hackett Research actually quantifies this relationship, stating that organizations can improve earnings by nearly 15% by improving talent management and that typical Fortune 500 companies net nearly $400 million annually by improving strategic workforce planning and other talent management functions.
